Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin
Since opening in 1824, the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin has been a symbol of timeless elegance and luxury. Magnificently situated overlooking St. Stephen’s Green - the city’s grandest square - it is just footsteps away from some of Dublin’s most famous landmarks of which it is one of the most iconic.
For the past two generations, royalty, statesmen, artists, writers, and legends of stage and screen have made it their home away from home: from Princess Grace of Monaco to Gabriel Byrne, from Brendan Behan to Bono, from James Joyce to John F. Kennedy, many of the world’s most famous names have played their part in contributing to the illustrious history of the hotel.
During the hotel’s final phase of refurbishment, completed in 2017, Abbey Upholsterers – working with renowned international designer Guy Oliver – provided a complete furniture and upholstery service across all areas of the hotel, all perfectly complementing the opulence, luxury and grandeur for which the brand is internationally renowned.
